West Table and Science Spectrum

Tuesday night we joined Ronnie and Elaine at the West Table downtown for a special dinner and wine tasting prepared by Kim McPherson, the owner of McPherson cellars. We are wine club members so we thought we should give it a try and it did NOT disappoint. Oh my goodness it was delicious!!! And the wine was perfect. Here's the menu.

This restaurant makes you feel like you walked into a Big D restaurant. It's lovely and very nicely done!! We had a great time!!

That man behind Elaine is her partner at their Accounting/Financial Planning firm.

A quick shout out to my sis though. Debra was set to babysit but came down with the flu and my sis totally pulled through for us!!!! They had lots going on at their house but Justin shuffled their kids while she came and kept ours. Thanks sooooo much sissy!!!!! We prepaid for this dinner several months ago so we were happy we got to go!

Can went on her first field trip yesterday with her school and their went to science spectrum. One of the moms who went sent me these darling pics. I'd say they had a blast!!!!

Girls Weekend

Drea, Mandie, and I met up in Dallas last weekend and had the most amazing, lazy, laughter-filled weekend of my life. We rented a 2 br/2 bath condo on VRBO and it was fabulous! It was off 75 and Lovers Ln, right in the middle of everything. Drea drove so we used her car and it was just complete perfection. I'm missing them terribly. It's so hard for us to get together with these kids of ours so we planned this back on August. No lie. And we pulled it off! Brian kept TESS and Cam went to my parents. We ate, drank, shopped, went and saw 50 Shades of Grey, sang karaoke.... We had a blast!!!! And absolute blast. And I'm so sad it's over.

How cute is our condo?!!?!?!?

Aaahhh.... Breadwinners.

Mambo taxi baby!!!!

Drea loves Bud and it totally cracks me up!!

Late night eating. Because that's what you do on girls weekend.

Saturday we made a pallet in the living room floor with our mattresses and watched Father of the Bride 1&2. Hello greatness!!!!

Until we meet again girls. 3 way just doesn't cut it but it will have to work for now. I love you guys more than you know.

Cheers,
Lindley

My new signature

Well folks.... It's official!!!! I start my new career with OfficeWise Monday!!!!! I already have an email address, cell phone, workstation, laptop, and territory. My new signature is below. Aaahhh!!! I'm so darn excited!!!

Lindley Herring
Account Manager
OfficeWise
P: 806.766.8888 C. 806.773-6310
Amarillo - Lubbock - Midland/Odessa - El Paso

Looking for a new career has been one of the most humbling experiences of my life. It ranks right up there with getting married and having my two children. The outreach and connection- making from friends and family has been remarkable and I'm just so grateful.

I interviewed with Elwood Staffing, Covenant, Grace Clinic, TX Tech, and Officewise. Pretty much a mix of several different industry-lines and went with something completely out of my comfort zone. Healthcare is what I know but after weeks, days, and hours of thought and prayer, I accepted the offer with OfficeWise. I'll be an account manager selling office supplies and furniture to businesses here in LBB. I'm super excited and think this will really be a good fit for my personality, lifestyle, family, etc. We are a local West TX company that was founded by two gentleman who worked together at Xerox in Amarillo way back in their 20's. The Lubbock office has been open since 2008 and is looking to boost their sales here and in the smaller surrounding towns. Like Plainview. Which I happen to know well :)

I'll have an office off Ave J and 12th but will be out in the field 95% of the time. I think it will be really great and I adore my boss, Tommy Sansom, who is the Executive VP and COO. He has a lot of confidence in me and that makes me feel really good about my decision.

Cheers to this next chapter of my life!!!!!

Heaven and Hell

So, last weekend, us and the coopers were able to pull off a super fun little adult-only getaway to Santa Fe to meet up with our friends Tami and Carlos. We planned it 8 days out and the fact that we all had childcare along with HEALTHY kids was quite miraculous so we took off Friday at noon and didn't look back! That is the 'heaven' part of this post.

And it was perfect. In every way. The four of us didn't stop talking for 5 hours straight on the way there and it was so nice. We all solved the worlds problems and felt pretty good about it ;)

Had to stop and see Billy the Kid!

Carlos's mom, Vera, lives in Santa Fe, and made us The.Most.Amazing
authentic Mexican dinner on Friday night that pretty much changed my life. Oh my dear heavens. Homemade tortillas. Homemade tortilla chips. Homemade red chili sauce. Homemade enchiladas. Homemade beef tacos. Homemade salsa. All of it was
Ridiculously good!!! She's like a serious chef who knows what the heck she's doing. Everything was ready 'at the same time' hot and fresh. Unbelievable.

Thank you Vera!!!!!!

These are a few pics of her beautiful home

Here are some pics of the outside. Like, I wanted this house. Bad! Lindsay and Joey stayed here in the guest quarters and Brian and I stayed at Inn and Spa at Loretto in the square of Santa Fe. It was a gorgeous hotel!!

Saturday morning we hit the slopes and the weather was perfect. It was like 49 on the mountain and almost 60 in Santa Fe!! We had a great day!!!

That night we went to Bull Ring in the square for a nice steak dinner.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Amy and Fred kept the girls and they had a great time. Slick brought his girls donuts both morning :). How cute is that lady bug donut?!?!?

Now, the 'hell' to this post is Brian has the flu. Me and the girls are at my parents indefinitely :/. Poor guy, I do feel for him though.

Cheers,
Lindley
