Little of this, Little of that ...

Thank you, Lance and Ashley, for opening up your beautiful home to us and kicking off our dinner club. Our house next in March!!

Happy 1st birthday Ledger!!!

The 'ole reliable Eddie Bauer edition high chair has officially retired. My T is not a baby anymore. :(.

Pretty sure, this little gem right here, besides my beautiful babies and family, is the best thing that's ever happened to me. Why have I never had one of these before 36 years of age?????
Heaven. Pure heaven.
Thank you sis for the best Christmas gift ever!!

Tess comes home from school with 'doo's' like this all the time. She barely sits still long enough for me to put crooked pony tails in her hair, but by golly she'll sit still for hours for her teachers.

My nephew is a star!!! His piano teacher was featured in the county magazine up in VA and he just happened to be taking lessons when they scheduled the photo shoot. She's an amazing teacher and he's learned so much from her!!

Dinner. As a family. All together. At the same time.

Hello ......MIRACLE

Play dates with Katie make Cameron's entire weekend.

Cheers,
Lin

Douglass, Herring, Jones

"We three families of Orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar.
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star."

Something to that effect :o)

We had a second Christmas after the new year and it was magical. Sis and fam made the trek from VA to celebrate the holiday with us and it just wasn't long enough :(.

They flew on Wednesday the 30th and left the following Sunday.

We had our Christmas at moms on Saturday and had a big time!!!!

London wrote the sweetest note to the girls.

I just realized I got ZERO pics of anyone else. My bad.

Come back sissy!!!!! :o(

Thanks for all your hard work and cooking mom. It was perfect. In every way. I Love You!!

Side note: my dad broke his foot while in Ruidoso over Christmas with mom. It's called a jones fracture and is supposedly in a pretty bad spot where there's no blood flow. He was pulling a luggage cart at the hotel and his left foot got caught under it but when he went to catch himself he rolled his right foot pretty good.

He'll be completely off it for 6-8 weeks but mom has stepped up to the plate beautifully and will act as though she's in the school carpool again. Hang in there daddy!!!

Cheers,
Lin

NYE 2015

The Overton hotel has a NYE event each year and us, alon with 5 other couples went together.

And had an absolute ball!!! We spent the night at a discounted rate for participating in the event, and although I woke up with a horrific spider bite New Years Day, we still had a great time!!! Having sis there was fantastic, I loved every second with her. I cannot even begin to describe how much I miss her and Team Jones. That's another post for another day :(

Jus brought this dice game that we played on and off all night long and it was so fun! It's called Left, Right, Center. And we had strangers walking up to us wanting to play we were having such a large time.

This one. He was our waiter while we played dice. We played out in the lobby of the hotel and would go into the ballroom when we needed drinks. The free drinks we paid for with the event. And he got quite good at it, I must say. A tray was very much needed when getting drinks for 12. HA!

Such fun had by all!!! Bring it 2016!!!

Oh, and back at my house, mom and dad had all four kiddos and mom took one photo. ONE! She had all kinds of fun things planned for the kids including a make-your-own-pizza-bar and while she was planning to let them stay up as late as they wanted, minus Tess of course, Cam and London were dozing off at 9:30 shortly after this picture was taken. Sweet babies!!! Cheers to mom and dad for the fun NYE night out right when one was needed. Brian and I hadn't done something big like this on NYE in a very long time. Love you guys!!!

Cheers,
Lin

Snowmageddon 2015

We got 11 inches of snow and ice last weekend and it was a storm Lubbock will never, ever forget. Roads were extremely treacherous for several days and many were without power. It was awful. This stuff cannot melt fast enough!!! But I bet it's all here at least another week :(.
Saturday night, when it hit, it 'snowed' sleet for the first 12 hours and we know this bc we heard it on our sky lights all night long. Ugh!!

3 feet drifts out back

Thank goodness for the Blazer, 4 wheel drive vehicles were all that could tackle these roads for three days!!!!!

Out my side of the garage. I bet that's a 2 foot drift.

We were in Friona for Christmas and left the girls because we had to work all the next week and with school being closed, Amy and Fred were going to keep them so is, so they were there while Friona got 20 inches!!! Here are some pics Amy sent

While Brian and I were home alone we went shopping for Cam some snow gear as she was LOVING play in it and then Amy and Fred were nice enough to bring the girls to us Tuesday morning. We were missing them terribly and the second they got home, Cam and I were out front doing this. Missed my babies!!!!!!
