No words...

This past weekend was probably one of the most special weekends of my life. I have no words, really, for how amazing it all was but I will sure try to re-live it as best I can.
There are no words for what a blessing this little girl is to our lives....

There are no words to describe how thankful we are to this man for baptizing Cameron on Mother's Day and making it as special as he did. Brian grew up in this church but it wasn't until Kurt Borden started that the baptisms were this special. It was the sweetest service ever and when he was done he walked her up and down the main aisle showing her off. Now, I am not a real mushy gushy person but this service brought out the most mushy gushiness in me I've ever seen!!!

They had her picture up on the projector and on front of the church bulletin.

She did so good up there!!!

The lady behind the microphone, Debra Beauchamp, sang a song to Cameron called Cradle Song and oh my... There really are no words for how hard I was crying. Such a sweet sweet song. She printed off the words for me on a pink piece of cardstock paper for her baby book.

We were praying and I was having to hold my snot in from crying so hard during that song! Lovely, Lin!

There are no words for how thankful I was to my family for being there and supporting Cameron on her special day. You can't see them but my mom bought Cam a set of pearls for her baptism. She wore them like a champ and never even tried to pull them off. She is so my daughter and she scares me even more because I didn't start wearing pearls until I was 8! Haha! We are going to have our hands full!!!

My sweet little niece and sister surprised me!!!! We pulled up to the church and they jumped out of my parents' car yelling SURPRISE!!!!!! I lost it!!! Cried like a baby. So fun, Mel. Thank you!!!

Gymnast in the making!!

There are no words to describe how much I love my sister! As much as I would love a little boy next, another girl would be wonderful too because there is just nothing better than having a sister. Nothing at all. She brought Cameron the sweetest blanket that has the below bible verse embroidered on it:
'I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.' Jeremiah 1:5. She also gave her a music box pillow that hangs on her closet door and reads: Jesus loves me. Thank you, Melly. I have no words....

There are no words for how hard my mother-in-law worked to serve us the incredible meal she did after church. Beef tenderloin that Trent grilled out for us, potato casserole, green bean bundles, mom-in-law slaw, tomato-caprese salad, rolls, and 2 homemade pies made by none other than the, Infamous-Give-Betty-Crocker-A-Run-For-Her-Money, Amy Cook. And, my mom brought wine. Not sure our afternoon could have gotten any better than that!! A delicious end to our special Mother's day.

Mamy and Cam getting ready in the morning. ;). I love this!!

Cam's favorite spot in the house... In the middle of all the action! Once again... My daughter! Ha!

I don't have a picture of Slick, but I have no words for how much he helped out when Cam would get fussy. He took her on several drives and we were all extremely thankful! Those 2 melt my heart.... He loves that little girl so much.

Thanks Uncle Trent and Aunt KB for coming. It meant the world to B, Cam, and I! Love you both lots!!! Her little peach bubble Gap dress is the cutest thing ever! She will get many a wear out of that! We will see you guys tomorrow for the Dave Matthews Band concert this weekend. Looking forward to it!!!

Happy Mothers Day to all you hard working moms out there. Our children need us more than anything!
Cheers,
Lindley

A couple things I don't want to ever forget....

I cannot get enough of this little munchkin! She has been sleeping almost 12 hour nights the last 7 days or so and is such a happy baby. All the time! She loves rotisserie chicken, tortillas, and yogurt! She loves any food really. You are growing up way too fast sugar!

John Brooks Hale and the John Deere tractor Slick bought him and his brother when Brooks was about Cameron's age. ;). Love this!

Cameron's bestie, Levi. ;). What joy he brings her every single day and I don't want to ever forget the friendship they've developed over the last 4 months. It will only get better with time too!

My new loves! A girl at work had on these darling Tory Burch sandals and I think they are so cute!

My baby girl's first two teeth!! Thank you, Juli, for capturing this photo. I've been trying for weeks!

Baby Ellis gets to go home today!!!! My friend, Lindsay, had Ellis Lynn on April 23 and she's been in the NICU this whole time. :( The Dr's, nurses, and God took really good care of her though and she's doing wonderfully now! She was in the NICU about 10 days like Cameron was and, unless you've experienced coming home from the hospital without your baby, it's the hardest thing one could ever do and makes you thank your lucky stars for babies that are born with no issues and go home in a few days....WITH you. Ellis and Cameron will have stories to share when they are older at how crazy their parents were over their NICU stays ;). God.Is.Good. I can't wait to meet her!

I read a blog called Kelly's Korner religiously. I don't know this girl from Adam but her faith and writing are extremely compelling and I always take something away from it every time I read it. One of her entries this week was titled 'Holy' and although I don't talk a lot of religion on here, I do believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and knows its through him that I can do all things. Well, her last sentence of that entry said that she's thankful that she doesn't need to be in control because she has a HOLY God who is. Boy, is she right. We don't have control. He does. And if we believe it's all the control one would ever need.
Have a great weekend, all!

Our weekend

We had a great weekend!!! Friday night, Debra came over to keep this sweet thing....

While Brian and I joined Heather and Brad for dinner at Sissy's in Uptown. Unbelievable southern home-cooking cuisine.

www.sissyssouthernkitchen.com

HIGHLY recommend it!!! Best fried chicken I've ever put in my mouth!!!! We enjoyed meeting Brad think they make a great pair! He's super fun and just like us! ;)
After dinner we stopped next door at Victor Tango's for a post-dinner cocktail and had a rather festive bartender whip Heather and I up some very intense drinks that took like 20 minutes to make! Brian is having a sip below... It involved basil, egg whites, FIRE.... It was nuts!

My sister actually stayed the weekend with us as she had a CRNA board review class Fri-Sun in Irving so instead of driving back to Aledo each night she just came and stayed with us, which we loved! Cameron loved getting to see her Aunt Melly. ;). Once my sis got home Friday night, Debra left. Thank you, Deb, for watching Cam until my sis got
there. You are the best!

Sunday we met my nanny, her husband Neal, and their son Levi for lunch at Chuy's and the babies had a large time! Cameron's new face is priceless! This is her 'I'm so excited and I just can't hide it' face. She loves her some Juli and Levi! ;). Neal is a super nice guy and we were thrilled to finally have an opportunity to meet him.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Cheers,
Lindley
