The Big D and A

Last weekend, mom and I loaded up the girls and drove to the big D but as for the Big A, Cameron currently has Type A Flu so as she's relaxing & watching movies on her mat, I'm blogging. I think we caught it super early though, thank goodness. There have been 5 confirmed cases in her class over the last 10 days so I've been watching for all the signs very closely. When B got home with the girls yesterday, I knew immediately after I got her out of her carseat. She was hot as the sun! We went straight to the UC and the results were back within minutes. Type A. :(. She's acting a smidge puny this morning but wanted to put her princess dress on first thing this am and dance so she's not too too bad.

So, back to the Big D trip, my niece, London, had a gymnastics meet in Lancaster (25 min. South of downtown Dallas) so we just made a weekend trip out of it. We shopped, went to see Santa at Neiman's, ate out, went to the Galleria... We had a great time!!! We stayed at the embassy suites off 35 and Inwood near Dallas Market Center (needed fridge and microwave for Tess and it had an indoor pool so Cam and London loved that!!!) We had adjoining rooms... It was perfect.

At Neimans after we took pictures with Santa. Got a cute one but don't want to put on here as its part of our Christmas card this year.

At Nick & SAMs grill for dinner Friday night. Mel and London hadn't gotten to town yet. Lindsay and Sully joined us, it was so fun seeing them. Love you Devine!!!

At the Downtown Dallas Christmas parade. Super cool and HUGE parade!!!

Getting ready for a gymnastics meet is no joke!!!

London did awesome!!! She got 6th best all around for her age group! Here is her floor and bars routine. She did awesome on beam and vault as well!

After the meet we went to the galleria for some shopping and dinner and Cam was enamored by the ice skaters and beautiful Christmas tree.

Had to have Mi Cocina and a mambo taxi! Delicious!

Cam and Tess were such good girls. The entire trip. Car ride and all! Neither had good naps either day so I was very proud of them!

Playing at the kiddie area at the Galleria. They had so much fun together. I am so thankful for their love and friendship.

Someone's 8 months old!!

No, I couldn't pick just one photo! :). She's such a sweet, happy baby. Unless she's hungry or tired then watch out! She's eating three meals a day, four 6.5 oz. bottles, army crawling, still toothless, and talking up a storm. Saying dada before mommy. It's ok. Soon enough. We love you sweet girl!

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful holiday with Brian's side of the family that started at my mother in laws sisters' house. Beth and Ronnie built a lovely new home in canyon and were gracious and BRAVE enough to share it with us. Gabriel was Cameron's FAV!!!

Lezlie teaching Cam ballet :).

We then took the party to Friona for a few more days. Cameron's felt Christmas tree Mamy made for her to decorate

The Jones clan came to visit!

Amy's knee today. Below is what it looked like a year ago. She was far from walking and spent thanksgiving in the hospital. God is so good!!!!!

Look at her unloading the dishwasher and putting up the tree! She gets around great!

Mamy and her girls :)

Uncle Trent reading books!

The Cattleguard. This is a liquor store about 10 minutes from Friona. Right on the dry county line. In a house. Greatness.

Acorn squash. A first for me. Prepared by Mr. Trent Cook. Dee-lish!!!! Only $.99/piece folks! The green rind is a little tough so I ate around it but you can eat it. He put some salt, pepper, olive oil, and thyme on this, baked it in the oven, and voila! So good!!!

Johnny made his debut after we got home and Cameron could not be more excited about this little magical guy! :)

We have so much to be thankful for this holiday season and we want to wish you all season greetings!!!

Cheers,
Lindley
