A few of my favorite things and TLC's Christmas Program 2015

Last year our friend Brandi Beeler saw an idea on Pinterest and put it to life! It's called a favorite things party and its fabulous! Brandi hosted last year and Debra hosted this year last Saturday night.

You get a final headcount of who all is coming and each person brings that specific number of one or their favorite things. And it must be $5 or less. You bring them unwrapped in a bag and the hostess then disperses them into the guests' gift bags once everyone arrives. Then, when it's time to open, the hostess, since she's the one who saw all the items filling the bags, will then begin taking one item out at a time and seeing if the guests can guess who brought what. It's so fun and I see many many more years of these to come with us. Thanks for a great party, Deb! Your hospitality was remarkable!! And we missed you Lou!!!!

And, last night was the girls' Christmas program and ....

I
Adore
This
School

These teachers work their butts off to show us parents how much our kiddos are loved and my heart is so happy. Cameron's class went first, since they're the oldest, and sang 'Go tell it on the mountain'

Then, Tess's class filed up there and sang Jingle Bells. They each had a set of jingle bells and I almost burst it was so precious. They just sat up there and were perfect little angels. Tess was so excited when the music came on. Her face says it all!!! It was super short and they didn't do a whole lot besides sit there so I didn't video it.

And, last but certainly not least, my big girl had a solo with three other classmates of hers.

How adorable is this?!? They sang Happy Birthday Jesus then the rest of TLC joined in. One proud and emotional mamma right here. Brian videoed the entire thing with our video camera so once that's downloaded I'll upload it to here.
Such a special night for our girls and a huge thanks to Slick, mom and dad, Deb Deb, and Trent, Kelly, and Baby E for coming. Mamy, we missed you and hope you're feeling better!

A night at Grammy and Pop's

Brian was working last Friday night so the girls and I loaded up and went to my parents for the night. Mom made her homemade spaghetti sauce so I was pretty much in a food coma.

Mother has more battery-operated-singing-Christmas toys than all the Wal-mart's and CVS's combined.

The girls love Grammy and Pops' house and would play dress up for days

A bunch of random

Wanted to take pictures of my Christmas decorations so I have a guide for next year

Gotta love it when Deb Deb decides what Johnny, our elf, will be doing the next day. So good, Deb!! And Cam loved it!!

Cookies with Santa, the Masked Rider, and Raider Red at the Frazier alumni pavilion last Monday night. Tess was not having it. Heather, Brad, and Ledger joined us and we had a good time. Went to ruby tequilas for dinner afterwards. We are thrilled to have them nearby again!!!

Allison took me to a men's basketball game Wednesday night and their seats don't suck. At all. First row behind the insanely priced floor seats. Thanks for the fun night darlin'!!

I seriously cannot get enough of these two. They're so different and I love that.

Tess at 20 months.

Cam at 27 months

Cam at almost 28 months

Little Ellory. All smiles

Tess's pony tail. Hello hair!!

Thanksgiving 2015

Thursday, Thanksgiving morning, mom, dad, and us 4 loaded up and headed to Big D.

Just because.

And it was complete perfection.

This child swam 9 times in about 48 hours

This little muffin was such a trip all weekend. She was full of laughs and was happier than I've ever seen her. She's getting so big and talking up a storm.

Our Thanksgiving dinner, provided by Honey Glazed Ham and Market Street, right in the privacy of our adjoining suites 712 714 at the downtown Dallas Embassy Suites. Again: Perfection

Friday we went to see Santa at Neimans and even got to ride the elevator with him!! We were all pretty star struck!

Campisi's pizza afterwards

We went to dinner at Kenny's that night but took no pictures. So great to see them!!!

Saturday morning we got up and on the road pretty early and the girls were glad to be home. We had a great time despite the constant rain and freezing temperatures and made memories we will cherish forever

And.... Johnny arrived the next morning. Cam hardly sleeps at night because she's so anxious to know where he will be in the mornings. It's pretty cute actually.

And, ... To top off our special weekend, we were asked to light the first advent candle at church Sunday morning.

Precious precious memories

Cheers,
Lin
