London's Mothers Day Tea

My sis was working so she asked if I could go to London's Mothers Day tea and I, of course, was thrilled to get to go! They had food, sang songs, drew pictures of their mommies, .....it was darling and I'm pretty sure I have the prettiest, sweetest, niece on the face of he planet. I adore her!!!

Tess had fun too!!!

Cameron's art show at school

Last Thursday. Cameron's precious teachers hosted an art show/end of school/happy Mother's Day party at her school and it was so sweet! They had all of the kids' art work displayed so cute all around the room, then they had an awards ceremony where Cam won 'most likely to win a Grammy' bc she's always singing, then they put together a photo slide show to music that made me cry. These girls worked so hard on this and we are beyond lucky to have them in Cameron's life. Thanks Michelle, Allie, and Kirstie. We love y'all!!!







Is this not the sweetest?!? Allie made and sent them to all the moms. I love it!!

My Cameron...

I really can't say enough sweet things about this precious bear lately, and I know I'll probably jinx myself for writing this but I can't forget these precious moments. She came home from school today, immediately walked up to Tess and gave her a big ole kiss. She turned to me and said, ''that's my sister. I love her. You need to bathe her.'' ;o) So we got everything set up and she helped me bathe her. She's such a big help these days.







Later on tonight she walked up to me and said, ''you're my best friend.'' Melt.My.Heart. I thought that was what she said but to be sure, I asked her, 'who's your best friend?' And she said 'you are mommy.' This kid..... ;)

Then, after Brian put her to bed she called him back in to tell him, '' I just love you so much daddy.''

She definitely has her moments but my gosh she's a little sweetheart. Love her more than life itself.

White noise and gas drops

Talk about two life changers!!! My my, thank God for these two!!!!







Tess has discovered her voice and gas :( and we found these two things work really well together. We have a sound machine in her room for night time but we have learned the child loves white noise a lot of the time so you better believe we downloaded this app on every electronic device we own! And I am not sure why we hadn't thought of gas drops before now but I'm pretty sure they are like crack to babies! Tess has been arching her back some after meals, usually meaning either gas or reflux, and I'm pretty sure it's just gas because these drops have helped tremendously! She's a different baby. Overall, I can't complain at all because she really is a good baby. Just eats, sleeps, and makes diapers ;). I cannot believe she's mine!!!







Here's a side by side of cam and Tess at one month. Tess like to eat???? ;). I love me a fat baby!! Poor cam had a rough start compared to her sister but you would never know it now.

First Adult Night Out!

Ralna organized an adult night out last Saturday and it was MUCH needed!! Deb was in town for her final walk through on her new home and kept the girls for us. Thanks for letting us have a fun night Deb Deb but you will be joining us out more than babysitting so you can meet people and have some fun yourself! Love you lots and can't wait for you to be here full time!!!

Gardening

Cam's friend, Camille, turned three last weekend and her parents through her a darling little gardening party! Plastic swimming pools full of potting soil, a sandbox, some bubbles, pails, and shovels and these kids were set! I may or may not steal this idea one day! ;)











We did some gardening of our own last weekend and our yards look fabulous!! My husband is so talented and has more of a green thumb than I do in my entire body!!!















Notice her 'Dora' gear. She loves the 'idea' of working in the yard, but hates to get dirty ;). Hhhmm... Wonder where she gets that?!?!?

The Dust Bowl 2014

West TX is going on day 5 of 15-65 MPH winds, depending on the day, and I am SICK of it!!! The below pic was taken on Slide road. Scary really. Tess and I haven't gone anywhere and I'm starting to get cabin fever!! Hopefully today we can get out for a bit. Mamma has errands to run! Lord, please send rain.

Tess lately....

Miss Priss is doing awesome!! She's 3.5 weeks old, drinking 4 oz bottles every 3 hours during the day, sleeping 9-10 hours in her crib at night with two feedings at roughly 1 & 4, and just growing like a weed!! I adore this little muffin and am loving my maternity leave at home with her.

Tess's first flight

Last Saturday, Tess and I flew to Dallas for my friend Bridget's baby shower and we had a great time!! Tess was an angel on the flight, both ways, never making a peep. I fed her a bottle on the way up and she just slept the whole time!

Bridget and Jim are expecting a baby June 1 and aren't finding out the sex. They are scared sh*tless and excited all at the same time; however, I know they will be amazing parents! We stayed with them and they helped so much with Tess! They have a lovely, massive home I'm Frisco with an entire upstairs they hardly use so we were able to take that over and got along just fine. I felt like I was on vacation there at Hotel Hughes!! ;). Thanks for the help and incredible hospitality Team Hughes.

They've already gotten a lot of things for baby H, including a carseat and base so she was able to pick me up at the airport sans car seat base which was so nice not having to lug that around!!!

















They've also gotten a bouncy seat that Tess was able to use and it really came in handy, especially during the shower when we were running around like mad trying to get everything ready.

















Her shower was beautiful and super fun! 30 people came and the parents-to-be got some much needed things! I took zero pictures from the shower (I'm kicking myself!!!!!) but our friend Vail did so I'll post later once I get them from her. I loved seeing all my Dallas girls and am already ready to go back! Maybe I'll take Cam next time. She's so like her mother and loves a good road trip!

Ellis turns TWO and tot clock update

Yesterday Tess and I had our first big outing! We went to Ellis's birthday party at Ready, Set, Go and we pulled it off without a hitch! Tess and I picked cam up from school at 2 and we headed to the party. Tess really hadn't been anywhere except for Jones Stadium and to the Dr so we of course had to dress her up super cute and what do I forget? To take a picture of her. Oh sure. She slept the whole time while at the party and Cam played her little heart out. Here are some pics of the birthday girl. She did NOT like me taking her picture!
























Cam in action on the trampoline. So glad her cousins have one of these because she loves it!! We can't fit one in our backyard. :(.

As for this tot click: it's really working!! 5 out of 7 days/wk it works, if not more! She goes to bed at 745-8 and sleeps till 645!!!!! I love this thing!!!!!
