My little short hair ballerina

So, yesterday...... This happened .

Then ...this happened.

This entire outfit was London's. I gave her ballet lessons when she turned three, now my sis reciprocated by giving to Cam for Christmas this year. Best.Gift.Ever sissy!!!! And, having all the gear, tap and ballet shoes included, has helped a ton!!!!

Dance Gallery, thanks to my sister for researching, was graced with this sweet girls' presence last night and she did great!!!!!! I see a fun 6 months ahead of us before the major production in early June.

9 months!!!!

Serious

Happy

Doc said she's perfect!!! She is 29" long, (hello basketball player!! Even Dr. Dalton said, 'she's tall!!!!') and weighs 21.4 lbs. She weighed 18 at her 6 month checkup. She's still spitting up quite a bit but she's thriving, gaining wait, doing all she's supposed to for her age... Dr. Dalton said, 'she will probably quit somewhere between 12&18 months because she's a prolonged spitter.' Perfect. Ugh! I've never seen one puke so much in all my life but she wasn't the least bit concerned. Like, at all. So, I guess I won't be either. She's such a happy baby who has this little deep giggle that gets me every time. Here we are in the waiting room. Make sure you turn up your volume.

And, our little game we played while waiting on the Doc. She did NOT like it when I would stop. Bahaha!!!

We love you Tess and can't believe you'll be ONE in three short months!!!!!!

Someone went to Big Church!!

This angel got to attend church with us and she was so good!!!

It melts me that she's so inquisitive about Jesus and that she starts asking about when church is on about Wednesday. We never missed church growing up. And that's so important to me. To see her love and want to go makes my heart happy. And to have a husband who is a huge believer in church as well makes me proud to call him mine.

Also, Cam found Ian's old train set in the basement and has found a new love for trains and tracks! She loves to build different track shapes. Back in my single days I used to keep my nephew, Ian, a lot so I had a crib, high chair, toys galore, you name it, I had it! Brian thought I had a child the first time he paid me a visit up in flower mound. Haha!!! Anyway, I've held onto this track in case we had a boy and forgot all about it. Well, good thing I kept it. ;).

And this little toot is EVERYWHERE!!!!! Mandie gave me this walker and I'm pretty sure we could not live without it!!! She can go wherever she wants and is super happy about it!

Several posts below this one... Be sure to read!!! NYE & Granny Peg turns 90!!

So, for the first time in probably 15 years, with the exception of last year bc I was prego, I did NOT drink on NYE! I was just so physically and mentally tired from the funeral and traveling that I was asleep at 10:15. I felt AWESOME the next day!!!!!

Doc's mom, Peggy, turned 90 on January 2nd. Her favorite beverage of all time is Miller Light so we tried to think of something clever to do for her. While having drinks with Courtney, we quickly realized we needed her dad involved since he started the Miller Girls at Tech and has worked for Miller Light for years. So, he rounded up some Miller Light paraphernalia and a case of ML and made a surprise appearance at her birthday lunch Mike and Lindsay planned for her. She was so surprised and LOVED get to meet THE KING of Miller Light. Courtney was able to go too so it was really fun! The Golden's, once again, outdid themselves and in normal Golden fashion, stop whatever it is they're doing to help others or make someone smile. I cannot thank you two enough. Love you guys so much!! Granny Peg, love you too and Happy 90 years! Here's to 10 more healthy and happy years!!! :)

Tess has a tooth, is eating REAL food, and SUPER mobile!!!!

Thanks to Lindsay Cooper, she told me the greatest invention ever!!!! Mash up some potatoes and add veggies and meat to that. Now that T has a tooth we are moving on from baby food!!! I hate that nasty stuff! Tess loves it but I'm over it!!! I browned some ground beef into fine crumbles and added some puréed green beans and she was in heaven!!!!!

Courtney & Molly

While in Dallas for Doc's funeral, we stayed with Team Peltoma (thank yall for the awesome hospitality!!!!) and got to see Court and boy, was it long overdue!!!! She had to work the next day but still met us for a few hours and I'm so glad she did!

Brian collects Santas and this one was in Doc's house. Mike and Lindsay felt he needed it for his collection so they gave it to Brian along with this sign that hung in his pediatric dentistry office for 30+ years. The priest even talked about this sign in the service. Words cannot express how special this was. Something we will treasure always!!!!

Our flight home was cancelled, due to weather, two different times so we just rented a car and headed back to the LBK! Sweet Molly, a sweet little 20 year old Tech student, who's not old enough to rent a car of her own, overheard us talking about renting a car in line and basically begged us to let her ride with us, offering to pay half. Bless her, of course we let her ride with us. She was a joy in the car and provided us with endless college and crazy roommate stories. Time flew by!!!! :). And, the icing on the cake is she used to work in the 1&2 year old classroom of a daycare in high school and loves kids!! Babysitter. Score!!!!!!

These were our road conditions the last few hours but they weren't slick thank goodness!

We introduced Molly to Allsup's and she approved the Tallsup and burrito! She's originally from Richmond, VA. They don't make things like this up North!!!

David Sydney Hale November 7, 1944 - December 26, 2014

Brian's best friend's father, David 'Doc' Hale, passed away December 26th. He's left us to be with his beautiful bride, Laney, which makes things bearable, but certainly not easy. This man will be missed beyond measure. As the priest said, 'He was an amazing son, uncle, cousin, grandfather, father, friend, colleague, and teacher.' We were just in Dallas for his surprise 70th birthday party November 17th and we will forever be grateful for that trip because he was smiling, happy, and content. Just how I want to remember our Doc. His sons Mike and David do not have parents but they have a solid family and loving friends who will wrap their arms around them forever. A life cut too short but never ever forgotten. We will always love you Doc. Give Laney a big kiss for us!!!

I don't have any close ups of him but do have some of him surprised out of his mind at the birthday party! :)

Christmas 2014

Christmas Eve we were at our house and Christmas morning and day we were at my sisters. We let the kids open gifts around 5, then we ate at 7:30, then the adults opened their gifts. Debra joined us for dinner Christmas Eve and I'm so glad she did. Brian made his famous smoked green egg ribs accompanied by my mothers ridiculously good potato salad and baked beans for Christmas Eve, then I made monkey bread, mom little smokies and bacon, and Mel a breakfast casserole for Christmas morning. We all went home for naps then back to Mel's at 4 for an early Christmas dinner. Team Jones waaaay outdid themselves!!! Oven Roasted beef tenderloin with horseradish, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, green bean bundles, Yorkshire pudding, moms 7 layer salad, and rolls. Oh my goodness, so so good!!!!!!!!! Mom also made a chocolate pie, buttermilk chess pie, and a cheesecake. I've gained Iike 11 lbs, no lie. But it was so so worth it!!! We had a wonderful Christmas and are blessed beyond measure!
