Found this beauty on Craig's List for only $50!! It's in impeccable condition, clean, and breaks down super easy and very compact. Love me some Craig's list!!!
Brian carved pumpkins tonight. I actually drew the TTU one but he hand did and carved the rest. The other is a princess for cam and guess the other ?? I'm actually really impressed as was Cameron. Good job babe!!!
Mandie's birthday was last Friday night so Brian and I decided to go surprise her. I have not been to see her in AMA since we moved here a year & 1/2 ago (terrible! She lives 90 min from me! and she's been to see me!!!!) so we asked the Jones girls if they would be open to keeping the girls overnight and they were! Abby ended up keeping them BY HERSELF!!!!!! Alli agreed as well but Abby responded first and handled it alone just fine. Alli was available if Abby needed her. We love having grandparents close but we can't always rely on them so we thought we would ask our favorite girls so they could get used to this and things couldn't have gone any better. When Abby came over Friday, I asked her to snap a quick photo of us and WALA!!!!! Done and done! Brian's website is done so we need a family photo stat and Abby delivered!
It's so easy and all to do that with a 3 and 7 month old right? Uh NO! But she did it and it turned out pretty cute! Thanks Abby for everything! I love that you and you sis love our girls. Cameron woke up Sunday asking for Abby. So sweet.
Mandie had NO idea!!!! I planned all this with Chris and things went off without a hitch! She was so surprised! We brought steaks, a potato casserole, salad, and bread and Chris got the wine. A successful team effort. We ate, visited, and played cards. Such a fun time!!! Love you Mandie and here's to many more birthdays with you!!!
Their friend, Justin, joined us and I'm so glad! Hadnt seen him in a long time!!
Saturday night, Brandi Beeler had her famous Halloween party and our Rainbow Bright and Rapunzel had a blast!!! BB goes ALL OUT for the party unlike anything you've ever seen! She even had a haunted house this year!!!!!
Tess sat here, like this, the entire time we were at the party! An hour & 1/2!! Angel baby I tell ya!
We are ON THE MOVE around here!! Thanks for the Walker Mandie. They both LOVE it!
And my nephew, Ian, who is playing tackle football for the first time, scored his FIRST TOUCHDOWN on Sunday!!!! 65 yrd run for the score, noone was catching that boy, my sis said!!! Then he ran the ball in for the 2pt conversion. I'm one proud aunt LiLi!!! Sad to have missed this though. :(
Our incredible photographer, Lynette Reeves, made Lubbock Lifestyles magazine and put Tess in it!!!! This is the photo we have above Tess's crib. She's so perfect. In every way.
Mamy, Becky, and Melissa kept the girls while we went to the game and Cameron had her first EVER ballet lesson. :). And... Wreck 'em Tech!!!!!! Thanks ladies for your help!!!!
My beautiful 7 year old niece is quite the gymnast! Cam and I went and watched her gymnastics meet last Sunday and she did great!!!!
Warming up
Her floor exercise. They also do beam, vault, and uneven bars. So stinking cute!!! Cheers, Lindley
So, a couple weeks ago I made a comment to Deb, after seeing the 'leg' lamp from a Christmas story in our new burger restaurant, Twisted Root, that I thought it would be fun to have that on our wet bar and I'll be darned if she didn't just buy that sucker for us!!!! Came in the mail yesterday. She said it was a gift for going with her to CO. So sweet and completely unnecessary but how awesome does that look???? It's perfect there and we could not possibly love it more. Cam noticed it the second she walked in from school yesterday and said, 'look at that funny lamp mom!!!!' :)Thank you Debra, you're the best!
It even came with a bonus night light. Haha, complete greatness!
Last Tuesday Debra and I drove to the beautiful PS to winterize her parents' cabin for them and we just had the best time. We were in the car a lot but we took the scenic route going and listened to Gone Girl on the way back so it wasn't bad at all. Look at the leaves changing colors.... Beautiful!!!!!!
Stopped at Penny's Diner in Vaughn for the best patty melt ever. Period.
Such a good fun place, thanks for telling us about it mom.
Her father paid for us to stay at a hotel as the only source of heat at their cabin is the fireplace, of which, he was afraid we might burn the place down, :) so we stayed at The Pagosa Hot Springs Resort and Spa and Oh.My.Heavens. Beautiful!!!!! This is the worlds deepest hot springs. Oprah traveled here on her 2006 world tour and I now know why! The mother spring comes out of the ground at 151 degrees then flows to 23 different soaking pools that overlook the San Juan River.
You can really see the sulphur in this photo
The temps of these pools range from 83 to 114 degrees. The sulphur content in these springs is very high so although beautiful they were pretty stinky! But you get used to it after a while.
The mother spring
Everyone walks around in robes. If you're a guest of the hotel, the springs are open 24/7
When's the last time you played one of these? Love The Junction restaurant for having delicious food and old-timer games like this! :)
Thanks so much Johnny Peck, this was an experience of a lifetime!! Love you Deb, I'll take another road trip with you anytime!
Also, shout out to the hubby who held down the fort and took care of the girls the 72 hours I was gone. You're the best!!!
Born and raised in Plainview, TX, I graduated from PHS in 1997 & carried on a family TX Tech University tradition from 97-01. I got a bachelors degree in Marketing & moved to Dallas in June of '01 to work for my very first job with Staff Care, Inc. Who would have thought 2 West Texans, who knew a lot of the same people, would meet on Match.com and actually work out? Not me! Brian & I met on 9/19/08 & married at The Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas on 5/15/10 with 94 of our closest family & friends. We recently moved from Dallas to Lubbock be closer to family and allow Brian an opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dream of practicing dentistry out in W. Texas. He bought Dr. Ronald Phillips practice & we could not be more thankful for this opportunity. Our greatest joys are our babies: Cameron Elizabeth, age 3, Tess Leanne, 9 months, and Nixie, our first baby, a toy Schnauzer, who is 5. Life & God are good and we are blessed beyond measure. I have created this blog to capture moments with family & friends as tomorrow is never promised.
