Camp out, Tess update, and Easter pics

My nephew, Ian, is at Camp Grop (Grammy and Pop) this week and he and Pop camped out last night in the backyard. How cute is that??

And I took Tess to the doc this morning to get her reflux checked out bc I don't think the Zantac she's taking is helping all that much. She weighs 14 lbs, 9 oz and is 24 inches long. She weighed 13 lbs 10 oz at her 2 mo well visit back on June 6. Supposedly they're supposed to gain an ounce a day so she should have gained 19 and gained 15 so she's pretty much spot on with weight gain. She's in the 81st percentile for height and 89th for weight. Doc says she looks great! We are going to increase her Zantac to three times a day and put a little rice cereal in her bottles to hopefully weigh the milk down to keep her from spitting up so much. We shall see but it sure makes me smile when a Doc recommends a 'good ole days' remedy like adding cereal to their milk ;). Here's to getting rid of reflux and spitting up!!!!

Here are out Easter pics from the LCC's Easter egg hunt back in April. Needless to say, the photography company was a bit behind but it was well worth the wait. I know everyone thinks their kids are the cutest and I'm here to say it's true!!!! I love these sweet girls with every inch of my being.

Sleeping all night, Cam and Tot Clock update, and Viva!!!!!!!!

Ok so I don't wanna jinx myself, and I'm sure this post will, but I don't wanna forget big milestones like this. Tess has slept past 7 am the last three mornings!! She goes down at 9 or 930 and the little sugar doesn't make a peep all night!!!!! It's the craziest thing!!! She does love that thumb though. Oh well, could be worse I suppose. Here's to getting sleep again!

Update on Cam: she's turned a corner too. Her tantrums have diminished tremendously. She's finally at a point where we can reason with her on these fits she's been having. She understands consequences and knows who is boss. :) I'll tell ya what: parenting is NO joke and far from easy but the most rewarding job I've ever had. Hands down. God has blessed us in so many ways. Life.Is.Good.

Oh and The Tot Clock. Holy smokes that thing is AMAZING!!!!!!!! Cam is spending next weekend with her Mamy and Slick (its been over a year since they've been able to keep her due to Amy's knee) while B and I go to Vegas, and you better believe in sending that tot clock with her. Luckily it travels well! For those who have issues with the children sleeping the tot clock is the ONLY way to go! Best $50 I've ever spent!!! Cameron is so excited to play with Mamy and Slick's toys, books, swimming pool, farm, and cows!!!!!

And, mommy and daddy are beyond excited to have a vacay!!! Haven't had one since NOLA in January!!!! Vegas, you're on a 5 day notice. Team Herring is coming!!!!

Almost 10 hours!!!!!!

Ok so Tess went down at 9 last night and slept until 6:45!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!! One minor problem though: we've got a thumb sucker on our hands.

Shirley took this pic at school yesterday

Then every time I checked the monitor last night this was going down....,

And then I walk in and find her doing this this morning.

I must admit, it's pretty darn cute but a thumb sucker? Really?? She already takes after her daddy on several things but the thumb sucking is one I really hoped neither would pick up seeing how he sucked his until he was 7! Oh well, could be worse I suppose. She's super happy, even snotty and super congested from daycare, and healthy. God is good!

Speaking of God... My neighbor and fellow FUMC church-member, Allison Quisenberry, asked me to join her at her bible study a few weeks ago to see if I would like it and I'm hooked! It's weekly, at our church, the ladies' ages range from 30-85, and I just love it!!! I've never participated in a bible story before now and I'm sure kicking myself for it. What a wonderful way to meet some great ladies and connect with The Lord. We are reading this for the next 8 weeks. It's phenomenal.

Have a wonderful Friday all!!

Pics from the Super Regional baseball tournament

For some reason I couldn't post these pics in my last post when I blogged about TTU winning and Brian going to The College World Series but here are some fun pics! :).

Brian goes to the College World Series!!!

Not only were the Red Raiders at the college World Series, my husband was too!!!!!!!! I dropped him off at the airport Friday and he was beside himself. :). He met his buddies, Mike Hale and Bill Coursey, out there and I'm pretty sure that was the Best Father's Day gift ever.

Speaking of the Red Raiders, we were able to cheer them on during the super regional tournament we hosted here in LBB. We played College of Charleston and won the first two games, ending the tourney then. It was super exciting! Fred and Deb went to the first game with us while my mom and Amy babysat and then Trent and Kelly went with us to the second game while Deb babysat. Our seats were phenomenal and we even made it on tv! Fred said he saw us during game 2! So fun! Thanks mom and Deb Deb for your help!! This is the first time Texas Tech has ever made it this far so to be a part of our alma maters history is pretty incredible!!

Melly babysits and quinoa

Scroll down in my blog to see the pics from Amy and Fred's birthday celebration, we had a great night. Kelly sent me some of the pics and I believe the file is too big on some so you might have to click on the actual photo to see it in normal size.

My sis and London kept the girls during the party and they had a blast with their Melly. Thanks sissy!!!!

And Monday night the Jones clan joined us for dinner and I made quinoa stuffed bell peppers. They were delicious! Ive heard lots about this stuff thinking I would never like it but did!!! I didn't snap a photo of our meal but did snap one of these cuties eating their corn dogs and fruit. They're better looking than any food dish any day! Don't mind the knives sitting way too close to the children... Yikes! They were promptly moved I promise!!

Amy and Fred turn 60!!!

Us, Trent, and Kelly threw them a surprise birthday party last Friday night and I must say, it went off without a hitch! Their birthdays are June 10 (Fred) and 11th (Amy), in the same year, so we thought it would be fun to do something special for them. They were super surprised and had a fun time with 18 of their closest family and friends. Thanks to all who came
