Vegas baby!!!!!

Brian and I have been craving a much needed vacay after all the craziness in our lives these last 6 months and what better place to visit than where we were married?!?!? The Wynn hotel in Vegas!!! It was our 3 year anniversary on May 15th and we had a blast!!!!!

We won the last night at the Wynn but not enough to 'bring' home money per say but certainly helped us! We saw Garth Friday night and he was incredible!!!!!!!

The Holmes' were there the same time we were so we met them at La Cave at the Wynn Friday night for dinner. Some of the best tapas I've ever eaten!!! Brian and I made a pact to relax and eat good food and we did just that! We ate at Stack at mirage after seeing Boyz II Men, who were fabulous!!

They all look the same and sounded awesome!!! Sang ALL their songs and then covered a lot of Motown stuff which was so fun!!! The food at Stack was awesome!!! The screen on my phone was out so I didn't get a pic but we split this Tomahawk bone-in ribeye that was to die for!!!! Then we got Mac n cheese and their 'adult' tater tots were just as good as they sound!!!! Another great place we will eat at again, thats for sure!!! Such a fun trip, The Wynn is just beautiful!!! We absolutely LOVE staying there!!! And memorial day weekend out there is completely nuts! Phenomenal people watching!!!!!
Here's to another successful trip to Vegas babe! I love you so much!!!!

My sweet sister in law picked Cam up from school last Friday as Fred and Amy weren't coming to LBB until after 530 so Kelly helped us out by picking her up and feeding her. She posted this pic on FB the day she picked her up and I thought it was too cute!!!

Cameron loves her Aunt Kelly and Uncle Trent!!! And a special thanks to Mamy and Slick for keeping Cameron for us while we caught up on a little R&R. It was much needed!!!!
Love y'all and hope everyone's having a good week.
Cheers,

It's official! The Herrings have moved in! The Peters had this up when we bought the house and when I couldn't find a new one I realized we could just turn it around and get it engraved on the back once I took it down. Looks good!!

A few of my favorite things....

Lately, I've really been counting my blessings and it all starts with waking up beside my best friend every day. I love this man so much!! He makes me very proud, loves unconditionally, is intelligent, handsome, and an incredible husband and father.

Then, we get to hear this little munchkin talking to us over the monitor.

Yesterday Brian officially started working at Brian Herring, DDS, Inc! Another huge blessing! We couldn't be more thankful for this opportunity Dr. Ronald Phillips gave us. His reputation around town is unmatched and has the sweetest patients over, of whom I've had the pleasure of meeting a few these last few days. I have been helping up at the office as my job isn't starting for a few more weeks and I've learned this precious lady is a major part of Dr. Phillips' success. She's the office manager/front desk cashier and knows every single patient by first and last name, their life story, their kids' lives stories, what their hobbies are, where they went on vacation, the list goes on and on..... She's amazing! And she's staying on to work for Brian, praise God!!! I already love her dearly and is one of my favorite things.

Julie, his dental assistant is just as sweet and is also a staying on, praise God! She's very very busy during the day so I didn't get a pic with her but will soon! She, too, knows everyone. Willie, the OM, has been there 30 years, and Julie's been there 17 years. The two of them and Dr. Phillips have been a great team over the years and we look forward to working as a team with them going forward. All the patients, so far, have been very receptive to Brian coming on and if one patient has said this they all have, and that is: 'Well, we have trusted Dr. Phillips on everything else, how can we not trust him on this?' We are so humbled to have been hand selected by Dr. Phillips to carry on his legend and are honored to be running such a strong and reputable dental practice in LBB! A favorite thing for sure!

Another one of my favorite things is our patio. Brian, Cam, and I are out here every night and couldn't imagine being anywhere else.

This water feature The Peters' left behind for us is so tranquil and soothing, I just love it.

Our outdoor kitchen ranks high up on my favorite things list as well.

Our cup runneth over... We are so very blessed.

Daycare, baseball fun, Spades butt-kicking, house pics, Mr. & Mrs. Duck, and sick already. :(

So Brian and I toured First Christian Church back in January when we were in LBB and liked it and the director so we decided to go with it. We have a friend whos daughter goes there so we got her all enrolled and started her last Monday, April 29th. After we dropped her off I, nor Cam, were doing well. Like, at all! We were both sobbing and I should have listened to my heart right then and there. Well, after several terrible things occurred
in two days' time, getting sunburned two days in a row AFTER I took sunscreen and her having nurse maids elbow again while in their care to name a few, we made the executive decision NOT to return. Ever. Another thing I disliked about FCC was their playground. It was Dirt!!!I Not cool!!!!

I called the director, told her everything, and went and collected all her things.
Cam stayed home with us the next couple days ad we toured two more places. We fell in LOVE with Trinity Christian, a private school that has an early child development program, but they had no spots open until at least mid-June. Well, after a lot of praying and talking with them for several days they got Cam in last Friday and we couldn't be happier with our decision. She's doing awesome and loves her teachers miss Autumn and Michelle. She sent me pics of her the first day and my heart was a peace.

Thank you God for helping us find Cameron's new 'weekday' home. We are so blessed!
Saturday morning my sis came and got Cam for the day so we could get some things done and she and her cousins had a big time!!!

That evening we went to Ian's baseball game and Cam loved cheering on her 'Eeany'. That's her name for Ian. She thinks he and London are pretty cool stuff! I am going to love raising my babies with my sisters babies! Another one of my dreams,
Playing with the big kids

Yay Ian!!!

Thanks for your help with her Sissy! We got a lot done!
After the game, the Jones clan came over to our house and the adults played spades while the kids watched movies. We had a great time and team Melly and LiLi kicked Brian and Justin's tail! Only by 4 points but still! We won! Woo hoo! Good times had by all. B cooked us burgers out in his outdoor kitchen, we ate out there, the weather was perfect, it was perfect.

Mom came on Monday of this week and we've been decorating ever since! Speaking of mom, I just had to post this pic of my parents and their friends while in Lukenbach this past weekend for a bike rally. Aren't they cute??!!!? They love riding together and this is something they would have ever done while raising Mel and I, so I'm glad they love doing things like this, just the two of them. I hope B and I find something fun like this to do together one day

I finally have the house 95% done and we love it even more!!!!! We loved it packed full of boxes so now that everything is out and decorated its really 'home.' That is all the justification we needed to help us realize our decision to move back out to W TX was a solid one!

You can barely see her, but thats my beautiful mom, my interior decorator and professional picture hanger!

Trying out the new backyard.

This precious little couple patrols our house everyday and we've decided it's probably because the Peters', who lived here before us, fed them, so we followed suit. They are so cute!!! He always walks behind her too which is so sweet.

Yesterday mom and I picked Cam up front school around 330 and when we showed up her teachers told us they were just about to call us as she had this green gook coming out of her eyes. It, and she, looked awful! Well since we don't have a Pediatrician yet, we took her to one of Covenant's urgent care centers right by her house and sure enough her eyes, and ears, were both infected so 45 minutes later we were seen by a doc and in possession of eye drops, Zithromax, and one sick baby. She ate a pretty good dinner though and slept well so that was good. Mom went and got her this morning and Cam let her hold her for a really long time, which is rare.

Her eyes are so swollen, she looks like she got beat up! Poor thing!!!!

BUT, she's doing much better and her eyes have already started to come down some.
And the crazy lives of Casa de Herring continue.... More updates later.
Hope everyone's having a great week!

Lindley
