Cameron meets Santa

Cheers,
Lindley

Thanksgiving, Santa, The Dallas World Aquarium, and 8.5 hours!!!!

We had a wonderful thanksgiving here at our house and have so much to be thankful for, yet we remembered those who are not as fortunate as us and prayed for comfort and peace among those in need. My sis and her family came over Wednesday night to kick off the festivities and it was my Brother-in-law and niece and nephew's first time to meet Cameron. Let's just say they were beside themselves! The kids wanted to hold, carry, feed, dress, you name it, they wanted to do it! They love their 'cam cam'. ;). Mom and Dad came in Thursday at noon and we ate at 430. My sis, mom, and I split up the menu which was so nice and everything was delicious!

Some of these photos may be out of order as I was using 3 cameras throughout the weekend and have them all saved in numerous folders on my iPad so I got confused as to where they were all saved! Haha!

Right when The Jones' first arrived! Jus scooped Cameron up and they all gathered around for a cute pic!

London loving on her cousin...

I think London loved Cameron's playmat more than Cameron!

Holding her own bottle!

Ian is so proud of his baby cousin

B frying his first turkey ever!

Working hard in the kitchen...

Real hard.... ;)

Oh dear.... I knew I shouldnt have thrown away that little tag that says how much the turkey weighed. B may have overcooked it just a little... Oops! ;). It actually tasted great though!!!

My face after Brian brought our 'bird' in... I was beyond shocked! We still aren't sure what happened, but it tasted good and thats all that matters!

Getting ready to go meet Santa and visit the aquarium. We decided to venture out on Black Friday to do anything but shop and to get the kids out of the house to runoff some energy. We had a great day and got some great photos with Santa but I need to scan and upload the hard copy photo we bought so i can put it on here. Cameron and the kids did great and told Santa everything they wanted for Christmas.

Sitting in her umbrella strolle sans carseat carrier like a big girl!!!!

First time at the aquarium... 11 weeks old!

Trying out her bumbo chair for the first time... Not quite big enough but will be soon!

Thumb sucker!!!

Saturday morning, Trisha and Jonathon Kimes came to town from Austin to go to the Tech/Baylor game with us that evening. Too bad Tech, once again, forgot to show up. :(. Mamy and Slick (brian's parents) came to town Friday night and stayed home and kept Cameron during the game for us. We had a great time!! Thx Mamy and Slick! Oh and Slick has a new name for Cameron... Squeezy. How cute is that?!?!?

Family photo!

Yes, yes I slept for 8.5 hours last night! Mom and dad put me down at 9:30 and after I laid in bed and talked for a good hour I decided to be nice and sleep until 6 am for them. I am one happy and rested girl today! ;)

Tummy time... Not my favorite thing but know I need to do it to get strong!

What an Incredible 5 days!!! We are so thankful for our precious daughter and family.

Cheers and love,
Lindley

8.5

This, my friends, is the # of hours our daughter slept last night!!!!! We put her down at 10 and she didn't wake up until 6:30!!! Hello!!!! Can you say Fantastic!?!?? I am one happy and rested girl today!!!! Thank you child!!!! Best early Thanksgiving/ Christmas present a parent could ever ask for!!!!

And, this little Ducky is ready to see her Aunt Mel, Uncle J, cousins Ian and London, Grammy and Pop, and Mamy and Slick! Yep, all these people will be here this weekend for Thanksgiving and we cannot wait!!! We are all going to the Tech/Baylor game at Jerry World on Saturday night while Mamy hangs back to love on her little butterball. Thanks for babysitting, Mamy!!

And, last but certainly not least: may we be forever indebted to our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ for bringing us all together during this thankful time, that we have our health, have food on our table, new life to celebrate, laughter, and unconditional love. There are often times I wake up wishing for more hours or sleep or less dishes to clean or fewer loads of laundry to do or sick of dieting so I can fit back into my work clothes before I return on December 5th, or soooo over dirty diapers or mad that i have yet another bill that needs to be paid. But, aren't we glad we have all of these things to do because there are so many out there who long for things like this because they have no home, or children, are in poor health, are too thin because they wake up every day wondering where their next meal will come from. We just have no idea how blessed we truly are and need to thank Him every chance we can for what we have and take no day, chore, sleepless night, bill, and abundance of dishes to clean, for granted.

Cheers,
Lindley

Poor Brian....

So, he ended up getting what I had but MUCH worse. Poor thing....and it lasted a lot longer but he's doing much better and should be ready to roll come Thanksgiving. Back up to the weekend though: Us and Cam we're supposed to go to dinner at Terrilli's on Saturday night with our friend Heather and a few other friends, but B didn't feel up to it so he told me to go and have a good time, and that he would stay home, feed, and get Cameron to bed. Husband of the year, right??? Love this man!!!! Well as I am enjoying my fruity and rather tasty glass of Savignon Blanc and ridiculously yummy Italian nachos I get the below text from my husband. There is no greater feeling than knowing your husband can do it just as good as you can. ;). I love you sweetie. So glad you are feeling better!

He will be coming with her everyday and is such a good baby! He's 2 months older than Cameron so they will get to play together at the ripe 'ole age of 4 months! I love it!! Juli, I hope u don't mind that I took this pic from your FB page. I just thought it was too cute and I LOVE Levi's leg warmers!!! He and Cameron are a match made in heaven already!!!!!

Michael Sullivan Hale

Our good friends, Mike and Lindsay Hale's little boy, Michael, was asked to a draw a picture of his family at school the other day and we made the picture! How precious is that?!? Lindsay text me this picture and I can't figure out how to rotate it but we are over on the left. The little one is Cameron. The two angels in the sky are his 2 grandmothers who are in heaven. Melt.Your.Heart. You make me smile Sully.... Love that kid!!

Christmas... In one room of the house....

Well, my house may not be decorated for Christmas yet, but by God, Cameron's room is! ;).

It's amazing how geeked your child makes you for the holidays. She loves her tree and just stares at it in awe.... ;)

No words....

Yesterday I woke up with something awful! Nausea, body aches, u name it I had it except fever thank goodness! Luckily it was B's early day so he got home at 3 but mommy was in bad shape!! :(. He was amazing and took care of Cam from 3 ->>>! I went to bed at 8, after eating some of Brian's ridiculous homemade baked potato soup, and slept until Cameron's 3 o'clock feeding since he had to work today and am feeling MUCH better today!!!! Thank you sweetie for helping me out. I am so blessed to not only have one amazing husband but a father who never even batted an eye at the thought of taking care of her for hours and hours after working a full day that stared at 6:30 AM. He loves her so much and there are just no words to describe the feelings I had when I overheard him, from the bedroom, having full on conversations with his 10 week old baby girl. Thank you, Lord, for blessing us beyond imagination and thank you, Brian, for loving your daughter and me the way that you do. I say this a lot, but my cup runneth over.

Trip to the HUB city!!

Cameron flew for the very first time last Thursday and did fantastic!! I did an AWFUL job of taking pictures though! Bad mommy! :(. We were already planning to go to Lubbock for the weekend to the Tech/OSU game but weren't going to be able to leave Dallas until 4 or so on Friday, putting us into LBB pretty late, so I just decided to fly a day early with Cameron. Plus, we had a free one way flight we needed to use so it worked out great! She was awake the entire flight and everyone was very impressed with how well she did. Mom picked us up at the airport and took us to my friend, Lindsay and Joey's house. They just bought a new home and it's LOVELY!!! They let Cameron and I stay with them and were so hospitable. They have had LOTS going on lately so to let us stay AND make us dinner 2 nights in a row was way more than I could have ever expected. Thank y'all so much for everything!! We had a blast!!! ;) Too bad our Red Raiders are awful!!!!!! :(. Tommy T... I am so over you!!!! I am, however, SUPER excited for my good friend, Lindsay Hale, as she went to OSU, a team very much worthy of the national title!!!!! Go Pokes!!!!!

Cam all tucked away in Grammy's car

Hanging out on Friday while Lindsay worked. Mommy/daughter photo shoot

Lindsay and Joey's adorable son and Cameron's BFF, Miles. Is he not adorable?!?!?

Now THAT is one heck of a taco salad, KB!! After the game on Saturday, we went and had dinner with Brian's brother, sis-in-law, mom, and dad at Ruby Tequila's. Amy kept Cam during the game which was so nice! B and I were able to go and have some adult time as we had several friends in town for the game. It was a fun day and Mamy and Slick were thrilled to see their granddaughter. ;)

Meanwhile, back at the home front, Nixie was playing with her BCF (Best Cousin Forever) Tucker, at her Aunt Debra's house. Thx for keeping her, Deb!!! I owe you!!!

Cameron had a great weekend but happy to be home!!! ;)

Cheers,
Lindley

2 month Pediatrician Visit

Well, last week was Cameron's 2 month appt and she did great, passing with flying colors!! She weighs 12.1 lbs (91%), is 23 inches long (91%), and her head is 15.25 (50%). Dr. Berger said she looks great and is progressing/growing beautifully.

Now, those 5 shots she had? Not so fun! She cried HARD for about 30 seconds but was asleep before we even got to the car. Bless her. Brian was able to make the appt which was so nice because I think those shots hurt me worse than her!

One thing we learned, however, is to give Children's Tylenol BEFORE the shots!!!! Poor baby was in serious pain about 4 hours later!!
