Dr Craig Curry prepared a very special day for us this last Sunday. I could just cry I love our church so much. Thanks to all who came and made our day even more special than it was. We missed you Uncle Jus but know you were with us in spirit from Chi-town! :) And a huge thanks to Suzanne Blake for taking pics for us!!

Where do I even start?!?!?

My,...my, boy oh boy.... I don't even know where to begin!

I got a call from Tess's Teacher last Thursday morning saying her left eye was draining green gunk so off to the doctor we go. Yep, it has already started: ear infection and pink eye. Poor baby girl. But we got some amoxicillin and tobramycin drops and are much much better!!

This almost 6 month old muffin weighs 18.5 lbs and is 27 inches long.

Her eyes looked terrible but she was still super happy and all smiles

Friday afternoon mom came to keep Tess while Brian and I took cam to the fair and believe it or not, Cameron wasn't all that into it so after a corn dog, people/animal watching, and trinket shopping, we and her new BFF, Boots from Dora, left about an hour and 15 minutes later.

After we got home I started feeling horrible!!! Well, the stomach bug kicked in and I was down the next 20 hours!!!! Ugh!!!!!!!!! Do you know how hard it is to be sick in a house with two very young kids?!?!? Very hard!!! And all I wanted to do was help with my babies but I, literally, couldn't move!!!!! It was awful. Awful!!!!! But, here it is Sunday morning and I'm almost back to 100%. And good thing bc Tess gets baptized in about 4 hours.

More to come on that soon.......

The Colemans tour West Texas!

Last weekend, Gary and Pat came to visit us and we had the best time catching up, eating, wine tasting, and telling funny stories.  I cannot even begin to describe how special these two people are to us.  Gary is Brian's hero.  Period. Case closed.  And, Brian's heroic standards are pretty darn high.  When Brian and I met he kept talking about 'the smartest man he's ever known,' and after meeting Gary Coleman, I knew who that 'smartest man' was.  I had no doubt.  What an incredibly smart, genuine, no BS, family, caring man.  And, he thinks a lot of Brian which makes my heart happy.  He was one of Brian's professors in dental school then brought him on to teach part-time at BCOD; therefore, ending up being Brian's boss.  But Brian never thought of it that way.  Gary has been, and always will be, Brian's mentor and friend, which is very hard to find in a boss these days.  Someone he will always look up to and respect.  And, this man is a one-of-a-kind package deal with his remarkable wife, Pat.  From the minute I met her, I knew she was someone special.  She is one of the most talented, upstanding female business professionals I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  She works for a very well-renowned engineering firm in Dallas and has 18 people under her.  Gary recently retired from Baylor and she will retire this December.  They plan to move back home (Iowa) and enjoy where it all started for this next chapter of their lives.  Replacements have been hired for them, but we all know their departures will take a huge toll on their employers.  In fact, three people have been hired to replace Pat.  THREE.  Incredible.  Brian and I are already planning our first trip to see them up North once they get settled.  They have one granddaughter and are expecting two more.  One in December and one in March.  What a blessing.  We wish them nothing but the best, will pray for good health, and hope for safe travels.

Pat took some really great photos and sent me the CD.  So sweet and memories we will have forever!

I'd say Gary liked him some McPherson wine!  :)

The rare family photo.  Thank you, Pat, for capturing.
 brunch at Crafthouse

They were fascinated by all the windmills, and I guess, since I am from here, I don't think much of them anymore, but they really are fascinating.
Cheers to an amazing weekend together.  Here's to many more.....

Family

BFF

My nephew Ian is 10 and playing tackle football!!! What??? There's no way my little nugget is old enough for this!!!! His first game was last Sunday and he had an interception! My sis asked him what he was thinking after he caught the interception and he said, 'RUN!!!!!!!!!' Haha!! He played exceptionally well and we are all so very proud of him.

And my precious niece, London, is kind of a big deal in gymnastics. She was selected to be on TEGA's traveling select team and she's darn good!! And beautiful might I add.

Rolls, rolls, and more rolls of cuteness

Miss Priss in her new Bushel and a Peck outfit from my friend Brandi.

She had her 3 yr check up yesterday and the PED said she is perfect. Weighs 36 lbs, which is in the 88th %ile, is 39 inches tall, which is in the 95th %ile, and a BMI of 61% which is right in line with where she should be at her age. So glad she's healthy and right on track. God is good.

And I have to brag on my Dad really quick. Douglass Oil Company was awarded Plainview Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month. Way to go Daddy!

I love my little family and wake up most days wondering how I got so lucky.

Lindley

My Happy Place

Do you ever have that feeling when you're right in the moment that you want nothing more than for time to stand still so you can just take it all in??? I had about 15 of those this past weekend. I'm still smiling.

It all started last Friday when Kayla & Team Wainscott flew into town for the TTU/ARK game. Then the Hales and Holmes' drove in. And from then on, everyone started gathering at the house. I went and got my girls, my sis stopped by, Debra came over, then Lindsay stopped by for a brief moment (side note: baby Ellis has pneumonia. Please pray for her) then Ralna and Brandi showed up.
Welcome to my happy place.
And it was only Friday.....

We were gearing up for an epic weekend and it was nothing short of just that. Brian cooked fajitas for everyone and I only a few pics from that night but I assure you we had a wonderful time with lots and lots of laughter and good times.

Pappa Brad practicing

Saturday morning, several of us girls took Heather to brunch at the club to celebrate baby Ledger who will be joining us in January and the smiles and laughter continued.

From back left to right:
Amy Daws, Lindsay Cooper, me, Ralna Bailey, & Katie Marshall.
Front row seated, left to right are:
Debra Peck, Mommy Wainscott, and Brandi Beeler.

From here we went to tailgate (Sweet Willie and Phen babysat the girls. Thank you ladies!!) where the fun continued until Tech decided to stop playing at the half.

Gotta love Wes photo bombing in the back there.

BUT, we weren't stopping. Friends and more friends were in town from all over and the party was continuing at Casa de Herring! Megan Seidel and Kristen Sinkey were in town from Dallas with their husbands along with Rick and his wife from San Antonio, Preston and his girlfriend, Megan, from Houston, and Chris and Mandie Ollinger from AMA were all here. In one place. At my house. My happy place. Life is good. I bet we had 35 people over here at one point and I would have housed them all if I could.

It was at this moment I realized I needed to get out my camera and capture these priceless memories.
I wanted time to stand still. We had so much fun and it made me really cherish my friends, regardless of where they live or how often we speak. Friends are friends. Always have been. Always will be.

London joined in on the fun for a little while. :)
