Pop's first time meeting Cameron and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

My parents made a last minute trip to Dallas this past weekend and it was so fun having them. My dad hadn't met Cam yet so he was super excited! He thinks she's pretty neat. And, she's really starting to get some personality and smile at us, which is very exciting and fun. It seems like they came and went though :( They got here Friday around 5 and we had fajitas from this little hole in the wall fajita joint that delivers and we love it! It's our stand by when we don't want to go out or cook and they never disappoint!

Saturday morning, while my sweet parents babysat, Brian had a CME course and I walked the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in honor of my dear friend, Debra. Our company sponsored a tent, paid for everyone to walk, and had T-shirts made for everyone in her honor. The shirts said: "Losing is not an option" on the front and "Pink for Peck" on the back. So cute! And, WOW!!!!! What an amazing experience that was! There were 30K people at this thing and it was crazy but so fun and memorable for Debra. She and I went into the Survivors tent and that was somethin' else! They had white table cloths on all the tables, fresh flower arrangements on each table, gourmet food, their own porta potties, all kinds of free stuff...it was so nice!!!! Debra loved it.

Saturday night, while my sweet parents babysat, once again, we went over to our friends Mike and Lindsay's house to watch the Tech game and had a blast! Tech lost, unfortunately, but we thoroughly enjoyed Mike's delicious smoked BBQ, adult beverages, and conversation. Thanks for having us over, Hales, and thanks for babysitting mom and dad. You guys are the best!!!

Sunday morning, my folks left around 10 and I wasn't ready for them to go :( They were such a huge help and it was so fun just visiting and drinking wine with them in our living room. Love you guys more than you know...

Cheers,
Lindley
