8 Kappas from our pledge class back in 1997 at TX Tech met up this past weekend for a night out in Dallas and we had an absolute blast. We stayed at Hotel Palomar and ate dinner at Saint Ann's. We got a pretty big suite that was connected to just a regular room and it was perfect. Only 6 of us stayed there as the other 2 lived close by. We picked right up as if we were all still hitting the frat houses and S Padre Island. So fun seeing everyone and hope we grow this group year after year. Back row: left to right. Erin Coppens Kellar, Ashley Flautt O'Leary, Ashlee Thames Woods, Jill Broadway Ham, Ashley Reeves Edens, and me.
Getting ready. Priceless

We didn't get Sarah Zipser in this pic as she had already left. I'm so bummed! :(. She has a newborn at home and needed to get back to her.
So, last Friday while I was in Madison, WI for work, Cam got this rash. The doctors told us its just viral.
Today, she woke up and it was 1000 times worse. Poor baby
It spread to her face.
At the Dr this morning. They are still saying its viral...and will just have to take its course.
I hope this clears up ASAP as it looks A LOT like this measles and is freaking me out. Our Pediatrician said its not but it sure looks like it. I am ready for her to feel better. :(.
Her new thing lately is she will go fish a book out of her toy box, bring it to you, put it in your lap, and whine for you to read it to her. She will do this over....and over...and over... and over with every book she owns. It's so stinkin' cute! ;)

Last Friday night my parents kept Cam while us, Kayla, Craig, and The Pitts met up for a delicious dinner at our favorite restaurant in Dallas, Terilli's. Always a good meal and time there! Loved seeing y'all Matt and Sarah. ;)
Saturday morning, Kayla, Craig, Brian, and I all drove to OKC for Mandie and Chris's wedding. What a fun time had by all! We stayed at the Skirvin, which we love, and Mandie was a GORGEOUS bride!!!! We love y'all!!! Have a blast in St. Thomas and we will see you guys in October at the BIG party!!!
So happy!!!!

Ian turned EIGHT last Saturday!!! My word where does the time go?!??
To my little nugget, who's not so little anymore: wow, did you forever change my life. Your mom and dad tried very hard for you and boy, were you worth the wait!?!? You see: before you came along, I was single, working alot, and very much enjoying traveling the world. I wasn't sure I even wanted kids much less a husband but the moment I held you, my mind was changed. You completed me and I've never been the same since. All 9lbs & 1 oz of you warmed my heart and that yellow gown you used to wear scored you your 'nugget' nickname which you never liked. Ha! My little chicken McNugget, may you always know how forever indebted I'll be to you for making me an aunt and mother. I love you with every inch that I have and love watching you grow. I'm teaching Cam sign language and I'll never forget you 'pleasing' with your little left hand across your heart for EVERYTHING. You are very much ALL boy but are probably the sweetest kid ever. You have such wonderful manners, are so nice to everyone you meet, and appreciative of everything people do for you. You and your parents are my inspiration. You make me smile. Happy birthday Ian Craig Jones!!!!
Last but certainly not least: poor baby girl has a double ear infection but you wouldn't know it from the below video. This was taken before I dropped her off at daycare. She's on antibiotics and feeling MUCH better. Your mommy and daddy are so glad you're on the mend. It breaks our heart to see you in so much pain! I'm off to Madison, WI in the AM for a Leadership conference for work. I'll miss you poptart but daddy will take good care of you and thoroughly enjoy the one-on-one time with you. Thanks for making this work trip possible for me babe. I couldn't ask for a better husband, daddy, and best friend. I love you, Cameron Brian Herring.
Last Saturday, Brian and I had a little get together to celebrate Cameron's first year and it couldn't have been more perfect! She got lots of attention and fun gifts. ;)

Born and raised in Plainview, TX, I graduated from PHS in 1997 & carried on a family TX Tech University tradition from 97-01. I got a bachelors degree in Marketing & moved to Dallas in June of '01 to work for my very first job with Staff Care, Inc. Who would have thought 2 West Texans, who knew a lot of the same people, would meet on Match.com and actually work out? Not me! Brian & I met on 9/19/08 & married at The Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas on 5/15/10 with 94 of our closest family & friends. We recently moved from Dallas to Lubbock be closer to family and allow Brian an opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dream of practicing dentistry out in W. Texas. He bought Dr. Ronald Phillips practice & we could not be more thankful for this opportunity. Our greatest joys are our babies: Cameron Elizabeth, age 3, Tess Leanne, 9 months, and Nixie, our first baby, a toy Schnauzer, who is 5. Life & God are good and we are blessed beyond measure. I have created this blog to capture moments with family & friends as tomorrow is never promised.
