Also, our friends Mike and Lindsay Hale's oldest son, Sully, has a severe peanut allergy. Was born with it and couldn't even be around someone eating peanuts, or nuts of any kind, for that matter. It was so severe that Mike and Lindsay were petrified alot of the time that he would get into something and them not be around with the epi pen to save him. Especially when he were younger and knew no better. Well, Lindsay heard about this Doctor (Allergist, I believe, but a VERY specialized one--only 6 in the world I believe) in Dallas who could possibly help, if not reverse this allergy all-together, so he started seeing him last Fall. Lindsay has been taking him every week for the last 6 months and each time, Sully would ingest more and more peanuts. His first appt started with like a teeny tiny morsel of a peanut dissolved in this solution for him to drink and now, pictured below, is him and Mike eating a PB&J side by side!!!!!!!! That is the equivalent of 24 peanuts and has been told he can pack a PB&K in his lunch next year if he so desires. He has graduated and completed this little trial successfully!! Yay Sully!!!! We are all so very proud of you!!!!!
And last, but certainly not least: Tess's 2 month appt was last Friday and she's one healthy baby girl 👍😁😀.
She weighs 13 lbs 10.5 ounces and is 24 inches long. She's in the 98th percentile for height, 99th percentile for head, and 96th percentile for weight. She got shots but only cried for a second. I was venting to me PED that she did not take the infants Tylenol well before the appt because it tasted so bad and she told me about a little gem called 'Tempra.' She said it was supposedly pulled off shelves several years ago because parents were OD'ing their kids on it it was such good stuff but she said she found it at the CVS on 34th and Slide and that I needed to go buy some. BUT that I needed to use it wisely and only when Tess has a fever due to shots, teething, etc. Folks, this stuff is magical and tastes delicious!! Thank you Dr. Dalton!!!!!! Tess is feeling great and came out of her shots slump with flying colors.
Here she is at her appt all smiles. Love this sweet angel to pieces!! She's such a good little baby. She's eating 5-6 oz every three hours during the day and sleeping six - seven hour stretches for us at night
Cheers,
Lindley
