You get a final headcount of who all is coming and each person brings that specific number of one or their favorite things. And it must be $5 or less. You bring them unwrapped in a bag and the hostess then disperses them into the guests' gift bags once everyone arrives. Then, when it's time to open, the hostess, since she's the one who saw all the items filling the bags, will then begin taking one item out at a time and seeing if the guests can guess who brought what. It's so fun and I see many many more years of these to come with us. Thanks for a great party, Deb! Your hospitality was remarkable!! And we missed you Lou!!!!
And, last night was the girls' Christmas program and ....
I
Adore
This
School
These teachers work their butts off to show us parents how much our kiddos are loved and my heart is so happy. Cameron's class went first, since they're the oldest, and sang 'Go tell it on the mountain'
Then, Tess's class filed up there and sang Jingle Bells. They each had a set of jingle bells and I almost burst it was so precious. They just sat up there and were perfect little angels. Tess was so excited when the music came on. Her face says it all!!! It was super short and they didn't do a whole lot besides sit there so I didn't video it.
And, last but certainly not least, my big girl had a solo with three other classmates of hers.
How adorable is this?!? They sang Happy Birthday Jesus then the rest of TLC joined in. One proud and emotional mamma right here. Brian videoed the entire thing with our video camera so once that's downloaded I'll upload it to here.
Such a special night for our girls and a huge thanks to Slick, mom and dad, Deb Deb, and Trent, Kelly, and Baby E for coming. Mamy, we missed you and hope you're feeling better!
Cheers,
Lin
