Weekend Get-Away!!!!

So, this past weekebd, Brian and I flew with Cameron to Amarillo so she could spend time with her Mamy and Slick while Brian and I spent the weekend with our friends, Mandie and Chris. Cameron did beautifully on the plane going and coming. Brian was a little nervous but she did great! I flew with her at 9 weeks, but she just slept the whole time. She's much busier now, but still behaved very well! Brian's parents met us at the airport to take Cameron back to Friona and then Chris and Mandie took us back to their house in Amarillo

Our liquor store stop before the weekend. Wow!

Friday night we went to Golden Light Bar and Grill on 6th St in Amarillo to hear 1100 Springs, a Dallas-Based band, play and we ate some of the best burgers and fries I have EVER eaten!!! Blair and Waylon Pierce, some friends of our's and Mandie and Chris's, who live in Grand Prairie, joined us for the weekend as well and we had an absolute blast!

Saturday morning we got up and went to one of Chris's friends' ranch for the night and Oh.My.Word! This place was crazy cool!!!!! It's about an hour from Amarillo so not too far of a drive. Chris and Debbie Britten.... thank you for an amazing day and night at your place! We would love to come back again!!!!

We rode ATV's all day on Saturday, got muddy & sunburned, fed the catfish fish, played games, grilled out steaks and stuffed salmon for dinner....so much fun!!!! Mandie, thank you so much for cooking and organizing the meals. It was all delicious and SO NICE! We can't wait to come back!

Waylon and Blair. Waylon has his own band and is fantastic! Keep an eye out for him one day! I have a feeling about this one! :)

The amount of land on this ranch was incredile and breathtaking! So pretty! You do not feel like you're an hour outside of Amarillo, that's for sure!!!!

MEanwhile, back at the Friona Ranch, Cameron is hamming it up for everyone at chuch. Amy and Fred took her to a concert Saturday night followed by a dinner and she did great. Everyone loved seeing her and she was, of course, an angel. :) They always are when they're not with their parents!!! Here she is with Melissa Randolph and Becky and Robert Jones.

These things 'charge' you if your're not careful. I almost learned the hard way! Good thing our ATV goes 80 MPH!!!!!!

She was ready to see her mommy and daddy! We missed you sweet girl! This was taken at Amy and Fred's house on their kitchen bar. They loved having her and Cameron did not complain. Thank you, again, Mamy and Slick, for keeping her for us. We had a great little get-away!
