Kimbell Ranch

Well we had another fabulous time out at Kimbell Ranch with The Pitts' this summer. They invited us out last June and it was sure good to see them again. We stayed at their house in Wichita Falls Friday night then headed out to the ranch Saturday morning. Friday night we had the pleasure of visiting P2 and Bar L. Best BBQ ever, OMG!!!! And my first ever Red Draw, 'The Falls'' Claim to Fame. These things are delicious! It's very similar to a Bloody Mary sans the vodka as you make them with cold beer instead.

Cam played with big kids all weekend and was in Heaven. It was the first time she met Lizzy Pitts and let's just say it was love at first sight. ;) Then, the Browns' joined us out at the ranch and brought their two girls and a friend. Then Jamie, a friend of Matt and Sarah's, came and brought her two boys (her husband was on call) and another friend. Kayla and Craig were there too. I counted it up: There were 9 kids, 9 adults, and 2 babysitters who are college roommates at MSU. Such Precious, sweet girls who were awesome with the kids. They took them all back to the ranch house (us adults stayed at the spring house which is smaller than the ranch house) at 6 PM for pizza and kept them until 8:30 the next morning. It was a good break for the parents but I have to say I felt a little nervous sending my first born away on her first sleepover with other other MUCH OLDER kids but she did awesome!!!!!! :). She was the youngest then the ages ranged from 6-12. The older girls loved taking care of her. So sweet......
We had steak, potatoes, corn, salad, and rolls. We had a blast and are already wishing we were going back next month. Thanks Matt and Sarah, you guys always know how to entertain and show others a good time. Until next time.......

And a HUGE thanks to Grammy for keeping Tess. Tess would not have liked the ranch like we did. :)
