The Dust Bowl 2014

West TX is going on day 5 of 15-65 MPH winds, depending on the day, and I am SICK of it!!! The below pic was taken on Slide road. Scary really. Tess and I haven't gone anywhere and I'm starting to get cabin fever!! Hopefully today we can get out for a bit. Mamma has errands to run! Lord, please send rain.

Tess lately....

Miss Priss is doing awesome!! She's 3.5 weeks old, drinking 4 oz bottles every 3 hours during the day, sleeping 9-10 hours in her crib at night with two feedings at roughly 1 & 4, and just growing like a weed!! I adore this little muffin and am loving my maternity leave at home with her.

Tess's first flight

Last Saturday, Tess and I flew to Dallas for my friend Bridget's baby shower and we had a great time!! Tess was an angel on the flight, both ways, never making a peep. I fed her a bottle on the way up and she just slept the whole time!

Bridget and Jim are expecting a baby June 1 and aren't finding out the sex. They are scared sh*tless and excited all at the same time; however, I know they will be amazing parents! We stayed with them and they helped so much with Tess! They have a lovely, massive home I'm Frisco with an entire upstairs they hardly use so we were able to take that over and got along just fine. I felt like I was on vacation there at Hotel Hughes!! ;). Thanks for the help and incredible hospitality Team Hughes.

They've already gotten a lot of things for baby H, including a carseat and base so she was able to pick me up at the airport sans car seat base which was so nice not having to lug that around!!!

















They've also gotten a bouncy seat that Tess was able to use and it really came in handy, especially during the shower when we were running around like mad trying to get everything ready.

















Her shower was beautiful and super fun! 30 people came and the parents-to-be got some much needed things! I took zero pictures from the shower (I'm kicking myself!!!!!) but our friend Vail did so I'll post later once I get them from her. I loved seeing all my Dallas girls and am already ready to go back! Maybe I'll take Cam next time. She's so like her mother and loves a good road trip!

Ellis turns TWO and tot clock update

Yesterday Tess and I had our first big outing! We went to Ellis's birthday party at Ready, Set, Go and we pulled it off without a hitch! Tess and I picked cam up from school at 2 and we headed to the party. Tess really hadn't been anywhere except for Jones Stadium and to the Dr so we of course had to dress her up super cute and what do I forget? To take a picture of her. Oh sure. She slept the whole time while at the party and Cam played her little heart out. Here are some pics of the birthday girl. She did NOT like me taking her picture!
























Cam in action on the trampoline. So glad her cousins have one of these because she loves it!! We can't fit one in our backyard. :(.

As for this tot click: it's really working!! 5 out of 7 days/wk it works, if not more! She goes to bed at 745-8 and sleeps till 645!!!!! I love this thing!!!!!

Nixie

Bless our poor dog, she's gone completely mad since we brought Tess home. To the point where I was starting to look for her a new home. She was already a bit neurotic to begin with but these two babies are about to send her AND me over the edge! She paces, worries, runs around in circles, cries when the girls cry, won't eat consistently, throws up from time to time. It has really been worrying me so I called our vet, who happens to be a friend/sorority sister of mine, and she suggested doggy Prozac. She had her first pill today, but Jamie said it will take a month or so to kick in. Wish us luck, I just want nixie to be calm and not worry so much. It makes me sad. :(

Easter

Easter Sunday was so wonderful. Mom and dad came to LBB Saturday night and stayed with my sis. They came and got Cam Sunday morning so she could go and hunt eggs with her cousins over at my sisters' house and she had a ball!!!
















































They met us at church and fumc downtown's Easter service was phenomenal!!!!!!



















We went to the club and their Easter brunch did not disappoint!!!! Delicious!!!













These pics of my parents and sisters family turned out really well!! My mom and sissy are so beautiful!! And these babies are gorgeous!!!























Poor Tess and I are struggling! ;). B and Cam look great!!









Easter has, and always will be, one of my all time favorite holidays. May we thank God He was NOT in the tomb. Christ The Lord is risen today.

Pre-Easter egg hunt

Saturday morning the Lubbock Country Club had an Easter egg hunt for the kids and Cam had a ball! We met The Beelers and Coopers out there then had lunch afterwards. Thanks for the fun Pre-Easter festivities friends.

Team Peltoma

Kayla and Craig came to W. Texas for Easter and spent last Friday night with us. Cams school was closed for Good Friday so mom kept her for the day and night in Plainview while Tess stayed home with us. Our adult time with the Peltoma's was much needed, thank y'all so much!! Good friends, food, and company ;). My sis and London over as well as Ian and Justin were at the ranch and London got to feed Tess!
