What's been going on??

Not a whole lot but there are a few things I wanted to document so I don't forget. ;)
Last week Kayla officially asked
me to be her 'Matron of Honor' with the below card. It says 'Will you be my bridesmaid?' and has a Mac lipgloss attached. How cute is that!?!!? She wrote the sweetest note on the back that watered my eyes a little. I of course said yes! I can't imagine being anywhere else than by her side on April 20th, 2013! Love you, K!!!




Speaking of Kayla: right after she gave me that card she followed it up with a Coach gift sack with the most fantastic surprise inside!!!! She remembered that B gave me a new Coach purse for my birthday so she wanted me to have a matching wallet. Its perfect, and I love it!!!! So thoughtful, Kayla!!! ;)




I absolutely adore this outfit that my friend gave Cam. How cute is that little shirt? U can't see but the pockets on the back have pink rhinestone butterflies on them. I could literally just eat her up!!!! Those shoes she has on were London's and are a size FOUR!!! My child canNOT be old enough to be wearing size 4 shoes!!! I just don't see how it's possible?!?!? But she is! And she thinks she's pretty cute. Those shoes have squeakers in them so once she starts walking I will know exactly where she is! Ha!!! Kim also got her a little off the shoulder dress that's precious it's just a tad big so she'll be in that soon. I swear, this child grows overnight!!!!




So, poor nixie. Bless Her Heart. She is just a tad over the top, slightly neurotic, and just down-right obnoxious a lot of the time and I know it's just her bubbly personality but man, she's wearing us out!!!!! If Cam talks, she barks. If Cam crawls, Nixie chases her. If Cam cries, Nixie howls ...... LOUD and paces. It's the craziest thing we've ever seen!!!! She loves her sister and wants to be up in her face all the time but even Cam is getting tired of it. We love Nix and wouldn't trade her for the world, but her hyperness, if that's even a word, is just awful! We have heard about these 'anxiety jackets' for overly hyper/anxious pets so we just bought one last Saturday to see if it would help. $50 later and a 'so calm dog we were worried' had me back returning it the next day at Petco. We put that thing on her and she literally did.not.move. Like, AT ALL!! After 15 minutes we took it off because we were afraid she might go into cardiac arrest. Poor baby. We knew she didn't like clothes or sweaters or anything of the sort but thought this might be different. Um, no. Needless to say, she's back to her old howling, pacing, barking, but ever-so-sweet self. Gotta love her! ;)




I hadn't taken any pics of Debi recently so I thought this morning was a good time. Plus, I just love that outfit Cam has on. She adores every inch of Debi and Debi adores her. She lights up every morning when we walk through her door. She actually lights up when I go around to get her out of the car before we even walk in! We're so very blessed to have Debi in our lives and caring for our baby girl. She is wonderful! Thanks for all you do, Debi. We love you!!!

Fun weekend!!!

Friday night Bridget and Jim came over for dinner and brought me this darling bday cupcake. Very impressive Martha! ;). Thanks for a fun night you two'

This is so random but my cousin took this pic of my parents and posted it on FB. They were in Plainview for a funeral and stayed with my folks. Are they not just the cutest?!?! Love y'all!




Us and two other couples went to the Four Seasons last Saturday night for a little get-away and belated birthday celebration and we had a great time! Donna was able to score us some really great rates on their premier villas that overlook the 18th hole and this was the view from our veranda. So beautiful!




Debra, rockstar babysitter and child whisperer, kept our kids and she did great! They had a lot of fun! Thank you Deb! You're the best!

Birthday dinner and 2.5 inches

Lindsay Hale made us dinner last night, got us a bottle of wine, and these beautiful yellow roses and pink gerber daisies! Seriously?!?!? Thank you so much! It was so good!!! That chicken was awesome!!! Perfect end to my day. ;)




RECORD BREAKING NEWS!!!!! We got. 2.5 inches of rain last night. We have a rain gauge and B checked it this morning. I cant even remember when it rained last!!!!! Thank the Lord!!!!

Best husband, daughter, and birthday present ever!!

Well my husband did it again. We told each other we weren't giving birthday gifts and what did he go out and do?!!?! Yep, buy me a birthday gift! Stinker! But let me tell you: I.Love.It! I had just mentioned to him, in passing, that I really liked the new saddle bags that are out and he so went and picked out exactly what I would have picked out!!! Great minds think alike babe! I love that you know what I like ;) You and Cam did great.... Thank you!!! Love you lots!!!

1 month away from having a 1 year old!?!?!?!?

Do what?!?!? Can this be true?!?!!?!?! I'm sorry what?!?!??
I cannot believe it!!!! Cam will be 1 on 9/9/12!!!!!




She is pulling up on everything and will be off before we know it!!!




She talks A LOT!!!!!! She says momma, dadda, dog, ball, hi, bye, and can wave and clap her hands.




Eats anything and everything. Look at that belly!!!




She is LOVING Miss Debi's and all the kids. She's trying to teach her how to blow kisses. ;)




Takes 2 naps/day and somewhere between 2 & 3 bottles/day. It's tapering off though as she sometimes won't drink her bottle.




she really understands us now. I'll ask her to go get her book and she will. Or she has this picture frame in her room that has a pic of my mother-in-law, Amy, in it and if we are back there and I ask her where her mamy is she goes right for that picture frame. Its too
Cute!!!!! It's so fun to watch her learn new things and really comprehend what we are saying.




I can be serious but not often.




When she wants something she kicks her legs like that. In this case... She wanted DOWN! Although she's going to be a NON-STOP talker, I am kind if ready for her to start talking because then she can tell us what she wants versus just whining/crying.




She's now taking baths without her little seat. My gosh where does the time go?!??








Her one true passion: books. She absolutely loves her books and if I can't find her she will always back in her bedroom reading books. Never fails. We keep some in her nursery and living room she loves them that much!!!!




Happy 11 months miss Cameron Elizabeth. We love u very much!!!!!

The Millar's come to visit and Del Frisco's grill

Last Saturday Jennifer and Brent Millar came from Austin to spend the night with us and brought their precious little boy, Brady with them. We took pics of the babies swimming together but they are on her camera so I'll upload them once I get them from her. And I posted this pic of Brady last week on here but it's too cute not to post again! ;). He looks just like his Daddy!!!! He's about 4 months younger than Cam and she thought he was the coolest thing since sliced bread!




Heather and Brad and The Hale's also came over on Saturday for some pool time and we had a blast! B and I just love having guests over to our pool/house and are so thankful to have such wonderful friends!!
Deb came over around 4 to keep Cam while we all got ready and went to dinner. Let me just tell you what a Godsend Debra Peck is! She helps us so much with Cameron and I just can't thank her enough! This should shed some light on how phenomenal she is with being a friend, kids, etc. So, her good friend lives in San Fran and they had a baby right around the same time Cam was born. They're very close in age. Well they are going to Hawaii for over a week and asked Deb to keep their little girl while they are gone!!! So, u can only imagine how amazing his woman is with babies. I would totally let her keep Cam for a week no question! Well as it turns out, her friend wants to take Deb with them to HI to help with Gracie, fly her out there first class, and pay for her room. SOLD! So excited for u Deb! That will be so fun and something checked off your bucket list! Thanks for keeping Cam last Sat night so we could check out Del Frisco's Grille. It was delicious!!!!!




Love these girls! So fun and thanks for coming to see us, Jenn! It's our turn to come visit y'all now.

What's been going on...

My Mother-in-Law came to Dallas for some dental work yesterday, spent the night, and made us homemade chicken fried steak. Oh.my.goodness it was good!!!! Thanks so much Mamy!!!

Our friends Jennifer and Brent Millar, along with their little man, Brady, are coming to see us in Dallas this weekend. I've never met this little dumpling... Can't wait!!! ;)

Kimbell Ranch and Hurricane Harbor

Last weekend, Brian and I went to spend the weekend with our friends, Matt and Sarah Pitts out at the beautiful Kimbell Ranch. We went last year as well but I was big prego and pretty miserable. I sure enjoyed drinking sangria and staying up later this time. ;). My mom kept Cameron for us and I didn't go until Sat morning. B went out a day early with Matt and as they were unloading Matt's truck it caught fire!!!!!!! They were going back out to get another load and flames engulfed the entire back seat!!!! Luckily they were parked right by the water hose so that was their saving grace but how scary?!?!?! God only knows what caused that fire but Sarah and I were just glad to know they were ok!!!! Here are some pics of it, post-fire. Nice!!! ;)
















What a view and so tranquil! This is overlooking their natural spring-fed pool behind the Spring House, where we stayed. They have 3 different houses on their ranch and its just so beautiful there. This was a much-needed, relaxing weekend. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Pitts!



Matt forgot to close the gate so we had 'mooing' wake up calls the next morning. ;). There were probably about 40 of them!!!






Last Monday, my mom and I took my niece and nephew to Hurricane Harbor and had a blast! The kids loved it and we're so appreciative and thankful to us for taking them. Such sweet babies! I cannot believe they are almost 5 & 8!!!!!!
