My in laws came to LBB Saturday around 3 and got a hotel room at the courtyard Marriott right by our house. After nap we all went swimming at the indoor pool there and had a blast! This was all their idea and a great one!! They've really started something because Cam think hotel pools are super neat.
That night we ordered in Orlando's for dinner then had brunch at The Overton the next morning. T&K joined us, it was nice.
Sunday we went over to the Jones's and had a great time! Cam is so close to swimming by herself!!!!
Have you ever met a person you just knew would be in your life forever?? Like, just had 'that feeling' of... Good people?? Well, I felt that way about Amanda Jean. Don't get me wrong -- ALL of my friends hold a super special place in my heart but Boothe came into my life at a very special time and I will never ever forget it! She, Courtney, and Drea. A&M/TTU football game 2008. EPIC weekend. Unforgettable memories I'll cherish forever. Any friend of Brian's are friends of mine and that weekend sparked a friendship I will always hold near and dear to my heart. Always. They took me in as their own and I'm so thankful.
Mandie and her precious two year old, Slate Fynn, came to spend last Friday night with us and it was perfect. In every way. Memories for us. Memories for our kids. Doesn't get much better than that!!!
Friends are so important to me and are who help my world go 'round and to say I've spent the last 5 years with my BEST friend is amazing. Brian came into my life right at the perfect time and I couldn't ask for a better marriage. He is my 'person' and I'll forever be grateful for him and all he does for us.

A lot has happened in the almost 8 years we have known each other. We thank match.com for bringing us together, our fabulous realtor for finding our first house together that we remodeled to make it our own, our careers who brought us back 'home,' and our two beautiful babies who who make us better every.single.day.
Cameron Elizabeth, you sweet girl you. I don't do many posts like this but every now and then, one is warranted and that time is now.
I tell ya, she tests me like no other and is DRAMA unlike anything you've ever seen, but my word she's sweet. I literally want to get a spoon and eat her. I mean... just go to town on me some Cameron she's so precious. 98.9% of the time. :). She's a mess and definitely a girl who's middle name is WHINE a lot of the time but I adore this little girl.
Just this morning, as I was making her breakfast, she said: 'mommy....you're such s good mom.'
I melted. Right there. Right along with that butter on her waffle. She's never said anything like that to me before and I gotta tell ya....
This is what it's all about.
I drag my butt up, out of bed, every morning at 5:30 AM...,,,For her and her sister. They are why I live.
She is such a happy, full-of-life, little girl and I'm beyond blessed to be her mom. She loves us, her school, her little friends at school, her sister, her dog, her family, and herself. She is such a sweet little soul.
My Cameron.....I love every ounce of you. Even whey you make me want to pull my hair out. You're ours and you make me and your daddy so very proud.
Last Friday night, 'the birthday club' met up at The Back 40 Grill to celebrate a few birthdays though these girls still look 28!!!! Amy, sorry we didn't take this while you were still there. Happy birthday Katy and Ralna!!!!! Cheers to you!!!
My Mother's Day present from Cameron. How precious is this?!? It's a picture that came home pretty crumpled up because apparently ....Cam was walking around, carrying this, showing everyone and their dog, all day long, at school. Bless her. My sweet BIG girl! ;)

On our way home we had to stop at the farm of course!! Cam rode with Mamy and Slick and we let T ride facing forward in Cameron's car seat just to see how she fit. We turned Cam around when she turned 1 but I just feel like Tess is still too little. I don't want to rush ANYTHING with her. She is my last. :(

I got a bachelors degree in Marketing & moved to Dallas in June of '01 to work for my very first job with Staff Care, Inc. Who would have thought 2 West Texans, who knew a lot of the same people, would meet on Match.com and actually work out? Not me! Brian & I met on 9/19/08 & married at The Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas on 5/15/10 with 94 of our closest family & friends. We recently moved from Dallas to Lubbock be closer to family and allow Brian an opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dream of practicing dentistry out in W. Texas. He bought Dr. Ronald Phillips practice & we could not be more thankful for this opportunity. Our greatest joys are our babies: Cameron Elizabeth, age 3, Tess Leanne, 9 months, and Nixie, our first baby, a toy Schnauzer, who is 5. Life & God are good and we are blessed beyond measure.
